I am addicted to lettuce wraps, this is one of my favourite ways to make them. Enjoy!
Prep time: 5 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes
You will need:
5-6oz Protein – I use a steak or two sliced thinly, chicken would also be great
1 stalk celery chopped finely
1 carrot chopped fintely
1 bell pepper sliced thinly
1 onion Sliced thinly
water chestnuts (optional)
1/2 Cup Bragg’s Soy
1/3 Cup Bragg’s AC Vingear
2-3Tbs Cooking oil of choice – Avocado Oil is my new favourite
Head of lettuce
Carefully remove leaves of lettuce from head to form cups. Chop your veggies and meat and set aside. Heat oil on medium high heat until hot. Add protein, cooking to desired (and safe) temperature. Add vegetables, soy sauce and vinegar and sauté until veggies are soft, stirring often. If you like it spicy add 1 tsp or more of Sriracha at this time too. You may need to add 1/2 cup or so of water if things are getting dry. When veggies are soft, spoon into lettuce cups and serve.
