Dark Chocolate Cherry Bombs

Freezer chocolates, sometimes known as fat bombs, can help satisfy a sweet tooth and are a great way to increase your intake of healthy fats for the day.  With about 10 minutes of prep and another 30 minutes of freezing time you can throw these together with whatever fruit you have on hand.  They keep for at least a couple of weeks, but they won’t last that long.

You will need:

1/2 cup coconut oil

2TBS real maple syrup

2TBS cocoa powder

12 cherries, pitted and halved


Melt coconut oil, maple syrup and cocoa together stirring often until combined.  Pour into silicone candy moulds, place fruit on top, and allow 30 minutes to freeze.  Makes twelve chocolates.  Keep stored in an airtight container in the freezer.
